About the Role

A Style Consultant at Target delivers an incredible guest experience through strong operations, compelling visual merchandising, and attentive service on the sales floor and in fitting rooms. The role involves setting, filling, and pricing the floor with the right products, sizes, styles, and colors, while supporting guests in self‑discovery and building the basket.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational & promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and use them to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations & visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, & merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, including locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, & guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, including signing execution.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service are worked back out to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, comply with safety policies, and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests, assisting them, and thanking them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

Requirements

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple‑frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurate cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 lb regularly and up to 44 lb occasionally without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up and carryout.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour.
