About the role

As a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative in the Cardiovascular field, you’ll serve as the clinical and payer liaison, delivering Amgen’s innovative medicines and supporting patients in Homestead, Key West, Long Key, and Islamorada.
Responsibilities
- Provide current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products and communicate their benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Act as a sales leader to achieve territory targets by delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational events, and exceeding goals through in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by tailoring interactions to customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and managing product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales effectiveness and territory performance, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products and keep patient impact at the forefront throughout the sales cycle.

Requirements
Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree
- OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience
- OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience
Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field (non-sales)
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field (non-sales)
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field (non-sales)
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry
- Product or hospital sales experience in cardiology or related therapeutic areas such as oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases
- Local market knowledge
- Established relationships in the territory
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration

Pay
- Specialty Representative: $89,816 – $121,602 (expected annual salary range, U.S. excluding Puerto Rico)
- Senior Specialty Representative: $109,631 – $148,325 (expected annual salary range, U.S. excluding Puerto Rico)
- Actual salary will vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
