About the role

Joining AdventHealth is about extending the healing ministry of Christ. As a Pharmacy Safety Manager, you will be part of a community dedicated to the whole person, serving through medicine, support, and care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the review and evaluation of medication safety practices and recommend process improvements.
  • Manage and implement medication safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Oversee adverse drug event reporting activities and evaluate significant medication variances.
  • Work under pressure and interact professionally with public and other medical staff.
  • Process and fill prescriptions as needed.

Requirements

  • Competent in medical terminology, medication names and use.
  • Proficient with prescription-filling software and other computer skills.
  • Knowledge of compounding oral/topical medications.
  • Education: Associate's in physical science, business or healthcare related field preferred, High School Grad or Equiv required.
  • Experience: 3+ years pharmacy technician experience, in a retail pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, central fill or hospital setting required, 5+ years retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a managed healthcare organization, medical insurance company, pharmacy benefit management or other healthcare related entity preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required.

Schedule

Full time, Day shift, with possibility for weekends.

Pay

$20.38 - $32.60 per hour.
