Specialty Clinic Float Nurse

About the role

Cherry County Hospital & Clinic is seeking a Specialty Clinic Float Nurse (RN) to provide flexible nursing support across our Specialty Clinics and outpatient services, including direct care for hematology/oncology patients. The position is full‑time and benefit‑eligible, located in Valentine, NE. Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across various Specialty Clinics and outpatient services
• Care for oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, blood products, infusions, and supportive treatments
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, IV starts, phlebotomy, and venous access care
• Monitor patients, manage treatment side effects, and provide pain‑control support
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and ongoing care
• Assist providers with procedures, referrals, scheduling, and patient communications
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in the EMR
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Current Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) license
