As a Senior Associate in Specialized Tax Services – Research & Development Tax, you will provide tax advice and solutions to clients in complex and niche areas such as accounting methods, fixed-assets, and research and development tax credits. You will help businesses navigate intricate tax regulations, optimize their tax positions, and build meaningful client connections. This role involves managing and inspiring others, anticipating team and client needs, and delivering high-quality work while embracing ambiguity as an opportunity for growth. Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized tax advice and solutions in complex areas such as research and development tax credits and accounting methods.
  • Analyze complex tax regulations to optimize client tax positions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients to navigate intricate tax compliance and planning requirements.
  • Utilize analytical thinking to interpret data and inform tax-related insights and recommendations.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the business context to align tax strategies with broader objectives.
  • Uphold professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC tax and audit guidance.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Build and maintain meaningful client relationships to anticipate and address their tax needs.

  • Apply technical writing skills to document tax strategies and client communications effectively.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience.
  • Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment (Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify).

Pay

The salary range for this position is $77,000 - $214,000. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
