Specialized Logistics Management Specialist
About the role
The position involves supporting the US Army with logistics management tasks, specifically working on Authorized Stockage Lists (ASL) and Shop Stock (SS) determination for Army Sustainment Command (ASC).
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and sustain ASL/SS for the Army.
- Auxiliary in the development of ASL/SS recommendation packages and augmentations to an ASL/SS in the theater of operation.
- Utilize decision support tools like Oracle, TOAD, SQL, and Microsoft Suite of Tools to accomplish daily workload.
- Analyze performance trends, prepare reports, and engage management for any negative trends.
- Respond to Request for Information (RFI) from various agencies and conduct in-depth research on supply system policies and directives.
- Monitor and report on logistical priorities through various meetings and maintain continuous liaison with accountable officers, installation supply analysts, and staff.
- Provide inputs on current and changing operation requirements that impact the Division, emerging missions, or changes in customer mission or operational environment.
- Prepare status reports to the Government on contract obligations.
- May be required to travel to remote locations and provide support on current or emerging requirements.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (8 years of experience as a Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) or equivalent).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Army retail and wholesale logistics systems, including GCSS-A and LMP.
- Ability to perform scheduled ASL/SS reviews and as needed reviews based on performance indicators and mission requirements.
- Functional knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods to support a wide range of customer requirements for Army tactical units and other organizations.
- Broad knowledge of Army, DoD, and other Agency organizational structure, logistics policy, and processes.
- Possess ability in identifying areas of programmatic deficiency, accomplishing analyses, and making recommendations for enhancements.
- Proficiency in preparing procedures, information papers, briefings, and reports.

Broad knowledge and utilization of Vantage, Oracle, TOAD, Structured Query Language (SQL), and the GCSS-A Business Intelligence Suite of Tools or there replacement. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools, including Microsoft Excel and Access.

Bachelor's Degree (8) years of experience as a Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) Subject Master Expert (SME). Functional knowledge of Army retail and wholesale logistics systems to include the Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A) and Army Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) along with their interface, or applicability to ASL/SS development and sustainment. Possess a comprehensive knowledge of planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing logistics activities such as: analyzing data, determining stockage recommendations, analyzing stockage performance, implementing corrective actions, tracking and monitoring internal and external processes. Broad knowledge and utilization of Vantage, Oracle, TOAD, Structured Query Language (SQL), and the GCSS-A Business Intelligence Suite of Tools or there replacement. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools, including Microsoft Excel and Access. Maintain continuous liaison with Accountable Officers, Instillation Supply Analysist, and Staff. Provide inputs on current and changing operation requirements that impact the Division, emerging missions or changes in customer mission or operational environment. Provide status reports to the Government on contract obligations. May be required to travel to remote locations and provide support on current or emerging requirements.
