About the Role

The Specialist – Workforce Management is responsible for completing daily schedule reports and making appropriate adjustments based on callouts and daily business needs, all in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Team Member phone line for call outs and replacements per requirements; promptly send notifications to each department.
  • Print daily roster schedules, pit sheet compacts, duty sheets, and/or daily timesheets and distribute to appropriate departments.
  • Print weekly refusal logs and send to appropriate departments.
  • Assist in maintaining Virtual Roster Employee Profiles, including skills, work rules, seniority, and roles.
  • Update Rex daily with housekeeping credit assignments and monitor current room statuses to inform Housekeeping and Front Office teams.
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance and call logs.
  • Adhere to safety as an essential function of the job.
  • Ensure consistent and regular attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any required certification or license as mandated by law or policy.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 1–2 years of scheduling experience with a hotel/resort; experience with a Four- or Five-Star hotel/resort preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and Team Members of diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift or carry 20 pounds unassisted.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, Team Members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
