Specialist - Wind Site

Reporting to the Wind Operations Manager, you will anticipate, identify, and mitigate potential issues affecting turbine performance and energy output, while collaborating with the Energy Trader to increase revenue.

Responsibilities

• Manipulate and analyze wind turbine SCADA data and other sources of information, including revenue data, pertaining to operational wind farms.
• Interpret data to provide actionable solutions for issues faced at our sites.
• Support failure investigations and root cause analyses (RCAs), contributing to continuous improvement processes.
• Contribute to the development of new services, tools, and interfaces to ease asset optimization.
• Write proposals and technical reports to support site managers regarding O&M services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, energy, or a related field (or relevant field experience).
• Minimum 6 years of experience focused on utility-scale wind turbines.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), project, and time management skills.
• Fluent in MS Office.
• Solution-oriented thinking with high integrity.
• Exceptional business and technical skills, with a customer-focused, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Supportive and proactive team member, eager to work collaboratively and independently.
• Proven HSE mindset and demonstrated behavior-based safety mentality.

Skills

Experience with the following is considered an asset:

• Data science and statistics.
• SCADA historians (e.g., PI, Power TI dashboards).
• Project management.
• Applying machine learning to solve engineering problems.

Pay

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $83,700 – $104,600.
