SPECIALIST, TALENT ACQUISITION - GUEST TEACHER PROGRAM

About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist for the Guest Teacher Program supports strategic efforts to ensure that goals and objectives of the team are accomplished. This individual specializes in supporting the Guest Teacher Program (e.g., recruit and hire substitutes, support team inquiries from schools and substitutes, payroll, etc.). Partners with District Leadership and across the Talent Acquisition team to support strategies to strengthen and expand initiatives to recruit, hire, retain, and advance team members, with a specific focus on increasing recruiting efforts to build a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
- Primary support for the Guest Teacher Program.
- Be well-versed in all the various types of positions across the District to ensure proper cross-functional support at all points of the year and to provide support for district inboxes (i.e., Careers and Guest Teacher), training, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Lead the development, organization, and execution of recruitment strategies for campus, community, and diversity recruitment activities for local, state, national, and international recruitment initiatives.
- Coordinate and attend recruitment events (job fairs, open houses, conferences, and district-sponsored events) and ensure ROI and KPIs are captured and monitored.
- Identify, recruit, source, cold-call passive candidates, and cultivate talented candidates across schools and/or a variety of positions.
- Determine salaries by assessing experience and education following established guidelines per DPS and/or bargaining unit.
- Support pre-boarding activities such as new hire paperwork and offer letters.
- Validate qualifications, credentials, and licenses required of school-based hires; verify that candidates meet minimum requirements; and confirm that all new hire documentation is completed and received.
- Collaborate with Human Resources Partners to monitor and meet client group recruitment objectives.
- Compile and create data reports and other forms of recruitment and retention statistics; assist in the creation of recruitment communications (e.g., banners, advertisements, brochures, web content).
- Develop and nurture relationships with customers, school principals, community constituents, and partners in Institutions of Higher Education.
- Attend partnership meetings with Institutions of Higher Education, business, community, and school partners, and serve on school, community, and business committees, councils, and/or advisory groups.
- Adhere to PTO "blackout periods" and "required attendance" for the team, including evening and weekend work during district-wide professional development, special school or celebration events, job fairs, hiring events, and peak hiring season (e.g., July 27th - August 31st).
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of education).
- 2+ years of experience supporting cross-functional work, programs, and/or projects in a high-volume environment.
- Commitment to racial and educational excellence and dismantling systems of oppression and inequity in the community.
- Belief in and support for all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high-quality education.
- Permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.

Pay
$70,195 - $84,233
