About The Role

The Specialist, Supply & Inventory Planner ensures short-term production plans align with forecasts, customer orders, inventory targets, and delivery timelines while exemplifying Primient’s values. Collaborating across supply chain, sales, customer service, manufacturing, and external suppliers, this role ensures seamless execution of production schedules for the 0–3-month window to meet customer needs and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning: Develop and manage production schedules for each facility to meet target inventories based on the Consensus Demand Plan and made-to-order products, accounting for planned downtime. Communicate planned production rates and packaging requirements to Supply Chain and Operations.
• Material Management: Schedule shipments of base materials to other locations to meet monthly production and demand plans. Purchase imported materials from Brazil to support replenishment sales in North America, utilizing the Consensus File.
• Performance Metrics and Reporting: Adhere to department key performance indicators (KPIs) and respond to available-to-promise (ATP) sales orders to achieve a 95% response time goal. Ensure timely material placement in warehouses to minimize scheduling issue failures (PXO FATP).
• Inventory Oversight: Manage warehouse inventories to ensure first in, first out (FIFO) compliance, address short pallets, and resolve blocked or aging materials. Minimize unwanted inventory through collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, and Quality.
• Risk Identification and Management: Identify risks impacting production or inventory levels and escalate issues to managers and the business as needed.
• Demand Alignment: Communicate issues to Demand Planning that could jeopardize meeting planned monthly production targets. Work with Product Managers to ensure a smooth and consistent pull of contracted products by analyzing customer data.
• Order Management: Approve customer orders based on product availability, forecast, inventory levels, and lead times.
• Collaboration and Communication: Address issues affecting customer quantities or delivery dates with Customer Service and Sales. Provide input to and align with the Global Supply Planning Manager on replenishment forecasts.
• Troubleshooting and Process Improvement: Troubleshoot production issues and prioritize production during disruptions and productivity challenges.

Requirements

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, purchasing, or customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets in Excel, Access, or similar tools (required).
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems, such as SAP (preferred).
• Experience in inventory management (preferred).
• Certifications in APICS CSCP, Six Sigma, and Lean Management (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.

Pay

The annual pay range for this position is $68,768.00 - $85,960.00, with bonus eligibility. Individual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
