About the role
Provides age-specific pharmaceutical care and clinical services in assigned patient care areas. Contributes to quality assurance, performance improvement, and departmental activities. Manages medication orders with age considerations, participates in pharmacotherapeutic planning, supervises healthcare team members, and processes sterile products for dispensing. Offers drug information and education, participates in departmental committees, utilizes automation to maximize safety and efficiency, and completes assigned goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage medication orders with age-specific considerations for safety.
- Participate in pharmacotherapeutic planning and departmental activities.
- Supervise pharmacy operations and healthcare team members.
- Prepare sterile products and provide drug information and education.
- Engage in committee participation and utilize automation for safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience.
- Educational requirements include a Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D. degree, with licensure eligibility.
- Certifications such as BLS and/or ACLS, with advanced training or clinical experience preferred.
- Strong computer literacy, interpersonal skills, and clinical awareness.
- Ability to interpret medication orders accurately, demonstrating attention to detail.
