About the role
Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated New Equipment Project Manager to oversee coordination of activities on multiple installation projects. The role ensures efficiency, cost containment, and customer satisfaction from project award to completion.
Responsibilities
- Ensure flawless execution of each project by completing on schedule, within budget, and meeting all technical & safety standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and customer expectations.
- Coordinate all contract activities from the project award stage to completion and provide progress reviews to ensure contract documents align with the required scope.
- Proactively communicate with multiple client representatives, including general contractors, owners, building managers, architects, designers, State and Local authorities, and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling.
- Work closely with internal sales staff, superintendents, and senior leadership to ensure project success from both financial and customer perspectives.
- Perform customary construction process duties, including managing billing, consultant and contractor payments, processing RFIs, optimizing change order opportunities, and maximizing project cash coverage.
- Accurately interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine cost changes.
- Analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates.
Requirements
- 3+ years of elevator industry project management and/or construction experience.
- Familiarity with cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings.
- Team-oriented and adaptable in dynamic settings.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for developing relationships with stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft software within technical environments.
- Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
