Specialist-Medical Staff

Responsibilities

• Covers the development, coordination, planning and operational administration of the Medical Staff, Allied Health Professional Staff and Independent Clinical Professional Staff appointment/privileging/reappointment processes.
• Supports the medical staff with regard to appointment and privileging to ensure that only qualified practitioners provide care in the hospital.
• Supports the allied health professionals and independent clinical professional staff with regard to privileges.
• Works to achieve regulatory compliance.
• Completes assigned goals.

Requirements

• Minimum education: Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
• Minimum education: Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
• Preferred experience: Experience in credentialing or related healthcare field preferred.
• Minimum skills: Good communication skills; Basic computer literacy skills.
