Specialist, Marketing Management (Print & Merchandise)

Bring ideas to life as a detail-driven Print and Promotional Products Buyer, sourcing, negotiating, and managing the production of marketing collateral, large-format displays, branded merchandise, and promotional products while collaborating closely with designers, marketers, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Source and manage print and promotional product vendors, balancing quality, cost, and deadlines.
- Oversee the buying and production of printed materials, branded merchandise, and specialty promotional items.
- Review proofs, product samples, press checks, and final output to ensure quality standards are met.
- Keep projects on track with clear timelines, accurate budgets, and strong vendor communication.
- Negotiate pricing, production schedules, and service levels to maximize value and performance.
- Explore new printing technologies, promotional product trends, and sustainable sourcing options.
Requirements
- Experience in print buying, print production, promotional products sourcing, or a related procurement role.
- Knowledge of offset, digital, and large-format printing, as well as promotional product purchasing and production processes.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and project coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong eye for quality, brand consistency, and execution.

This hybrid position is based in Columbus, OH. Candidates located near a Nationwide campus will collaborate in office 3 days per week. Current remote associates may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of strategies and plans that ensure long-term sustainable growth of the business.
- Synthesize data and use this understanding to support identification and innovation of business-building solutions.
- Assist with the completion of moderate to complex projects and processes within area of responsibility to deliver results with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.
- Assist with implementation of digital and traditional marketing tactics and media, including creative development process, planning, and execution.
- Collaborate on and assist with creative development and provide feedback on look and feel.
- Use customer insights and analytics and tools to understand and assist in forecasting market, competitor and customer needs and behavior, help to define appropriate target audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and effectively get results with data-based decisions.
- Monitor timelines to ensure programs are on strategy and on schedule; inform leader of any discrepancies.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Technical insurance designations such as CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus. Additional licensing may be required to hold this position; associates will need to acquire the required federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the designated time period. If an associate fails to acquire required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.
Experience: Typically five or more years demonstrated professional experience in marketing, strategy, consulting, financial services, or related field.
