Responsibilities

• Performing laboratory analysis (primarily gas chromatograph) for custody quality measurement and product quality control
• Performing wet lab bench chemistry analyses including but not limited to color assays, copper strip corrosion testing, RVP, chloride/fluoride/NH3 testing in LPG samples, moisture analyses meter and coulometric, pH, and titration analyses
• Initially providing support to the MB Lab by maintaining cylinders, including replacing consumables (valves, tips), and performing leak and pressure testing on single cavity flow through cylinders and dual cavity piston cylinders
• Maintaining an accurate log of each cylinder through the use of a spreadsheet
• Maintaining a current inventory of all Lab Supplies and consumables to maintain Lab Operations without shutting down the Lab, including office supplies (printer cartridges, toner for fax) and filling out POs in Oracle for lab consumables (titrants, solvents, pipettes, syringes, gloves, paper towels, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry OR a minimum of 2 years of relevant QA/QC lab experience
• Knowledge of gas chromatography (both operation and maintenance) and other analytical methods commonly used in the NGL and Natural Gas industry
• Knowledge of SQC in a laboratory environment, supporting charts, and standard laboratory data systems
• Strong commitment to personal and job safety
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications including spreadsheet and word processing, as well as Lab Info Management System (LIMS) and Chromatography Data Systems
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong decision-making skills and work ethic
• Accountable and self-driven to learn, with commitment to continuously develop and improve skills through both formalized and on-the-job training
