About the role
This position provides assistance within the Testing Services department for College and Career Readiness students at multiple locations. Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Applies the guidelines and procedures for student eligibility of assessment testing established by the North Carolina Community College System
- Maintains certifications and administers remote and in-person assessments as a lead Test Administrator
- Serves as a lead Test Administrator for the center, including maintaining certifications and administering remote and in-person assessments
- Supervises the test administrators and overall operations during evening shifts to include remedying student concerns and addressing late arrivals
- Serves on hiring committees and the coordination of test administrator schedules
- Assists with recording student data into DRC and the creation of test tickets
- Schedules private assessments for students with disabilities
- Contacts students through email, phone calls, and text messaging to ensure retention in the program
- Communicates essential information to the Specialist II in a timely manner and reports testing irregularities
- Investigates, troubleshoots and reports technical issues with the center’s computers and printers
- Builds relationships and corresponds with instructors and Instructional Program Specialist to assist with tracking/location of absentee students
- Escorts students from assigned classrooms and walks to testing center for post-testing
- Maintains Pearson Vue & HiSET yearly certification
- Maintains certifications needed for test proctors
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- One year of experience in an office environment
- Valid Driver's license and approval required by the College’s liability insurance carrier
