Specialist I, Quality Assurance

About the role

The Specialist I, Quality Assurance plays a crucial role in maintaining the Quality Systems at SGS, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification. They assist management in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and provide support to technical staff in managing client-specific projects.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining Quality Systems
• Supports technical staff in ensuring routine testing meets established parameters
• Performs routine testing in collaboration with client-specific projects
• Approves and issues Certificate of Analysis and signs on cGMP related reports
• Trains on applicable general SOPs pertaining to the Analytical Laboratory
• Participates in departmental and company-wide projects aimed at improving client services
• Participates in equipment maintenance and calibration activities
• Adheres to relevant SGS SOPs governing official records and documentation
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to handle customer complaints in compliance with SOPs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of experience preferably in Life Sciences supporting cGMP Operations
• Thorough knowledge of scientific principles
