Job Description

As a Specialist – Footwear at DICK’S Sporting Goods, you will drive sales, support teammates, and create a personalized, athlete-first experience. You will deliver expert footwear guidance focused on fit, performance, and comfort, and assist with onboarding and training of new and existing team members.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and create a world-class athlete experience
• Anticipates the needs of the athlete; actively drives sales through product and services recommendations and a deep understanding of athlete needs
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members (as subject matter expert of their area of the store)
• Serves as a go-to expert in designated process categories, ensuring smooth execution and high productivity
• Demonstrates efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset; ensures products are ready for athletes to purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want
• Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promotes and drives customer participation in company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.)
• Creates a store environment where everyone, both teammates and athletes, are always welcome and treated with respect
• Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures, as well as to laws/guidelines of external governing entities
