Specialist, Field Operations

About the role

The Specialist, Field Operations supports remote sites, manages network infrastructure, and handles help desk requests. They also manage job sites throughout their lifecycle and collaborate with various internal teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Capturing clear site requirements and quoting for sites
• Designing and managing job site setups
• Overseeing job site decommissioning of IT equipment
• Updating and maintaining site records and documentation in the CMDB
• Providing IT support services to Joint Venture partners
• Sourcing effective and affordable equipment for sites
• Supporting Aecon's job sites, including remote locations
• Coordinating quality standards and ensuring public company compliance
• Adhering to Aecon’s IT Services Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines

Requirements

• Degree or diploma related to Information Services or equivalent work experience
• Experience on multiple technologies including HP, Citrix, Cisco, and Microsoft
• Familiarity with ITIL Foundations, Microsoft, Networking, and Citrix & Virtualization
• Working knowledge of Windows 11, MS Office 365 products, Microsoft 365 Administration, and Active Directory
• Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, Change Management, or Service Level Management
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
• Excellent customer service skills
• Technical knowledge in computer hardware and software configuration
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship due to access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations
