Specialist, Customer Projects

Responsibilities

• Translates technical guidance into usable engineering data for designing Silos and Vessels that meet customer needs.
• Uses established and well-defined engineering procedures to gather and correlate basic engineering data for managing jobs.
• Reviews price estimates and delivery commitments for potential new jobs.
• Performs detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations for product design and specifications.
• Interfaces directly with customers regarding company engineering and production capabilities, providing technical information and coordinating product deliveries.
• Designs and completes layout of projects to provide blueprint information for drafting, ensuring timely customer approval.
• Ensures compliance with established procedures and delivery schedules during the production of assigned projects.
• Troubleshoots problems to expedite fabrication and makes necessary changes in methods, design, or equipment.
• Inputs all appropriate detail and Bill-of-Materials in SAP to facilitate production of products.
• Aids the Warranty Manager in evaluating customer claims and potential resolutions.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Preferred Major: Mechanical Engineering).
• 3 to 5 years' experience in design and fabrication of stainless steel or sheet metal products, in industries related to food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, transportation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to read and approve CAD detail drawings.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and manufacturing associates.
