About the role
L3Harris Aeromet in Tulsa, OK is looking for an experienced Contract Specialist to join our team. We’re seeking someone who has a strong background in US Government contracting and enjoys working across a variety of programs and requirements. In this role, you’ll manage day-to-day contract activities from start to finish and collaborate closely with teammates across the organization. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer interface for all contractual matters
- Communicate contract obligations clearly across the program team
- Participate in proposal preparation, negotiations, and customer discussions
- Assess and mitigate risk across financial terms, delivery, warranty, IP, and more
- Prepare clear written communications for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate contract data in enterprise systems
- Ensure timely deliverables and invoice submission
- Review and update terms and conditions, identify risks, and negotiate resolutions
- Support additional program needs as required
- Collaborate with engineering, program management, finance, operations, supply chain, and quality to simplify complex guidance and support informed decision-making
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 6 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Skills
- Contract administration or contract management experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR and/or government acquisition regulations
- An active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- Clear understanding of DoD contracting and knowledge of multiple contract types
- Experience with intellectual property (IP) and data rights
- Working knowledge of export compliance
- Ability to resolve issues, think critically, and navigate complex problems

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days—totaling 80 hours worked—and have every other Friday off.
