About the role

We are seeking an Specialist, Bakery-Operator Technician to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor bakery production equipment to ensure consistent product quality
  • Control and adjust key process parameters to maintain efficiency and reduce waste
  • Troubleshoot automation, mechanical, and electrical issues to minimize downtime
  • Execute start-up, changeover, and shutdown procedures for manual and automated systems
  • Maintain compliance with all food-safety, quality, and workplace-safety standards
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and automation teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Train new operators and technicians on equipment operation and safety best practices

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in high-speed food manufacturing, industrial processing, or automated machine operation
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics, or HMI interfaces
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks safely (standing, lifting, operating machinery, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Prior bakery manufacturing experience
  • Technical or vocational training in automation, mechatronics, or industrial technology
  • Experience with PLC-controlled systems or automated ingredient-delivery systems
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives

Hourly Rate: $30

Schedule

Shift: 1st
Hours: 6AM - 2:30PM
Weekend availability: Required
