Special Response Security Officer

Special Response Officer (SRO) SecureOne Security Services is seeking an experienced Special Response Officer (SRO) to provide emergency coverage and multi-site support across our client portfolio in the Chicago South Suburbs. This is a full-time position with guaranteed hours, weekly pay, and an on-call component. Pay & Schedule Competitive hourly pay (discussed at interview based on experience)Full-time, guaranteed hoursWeekly pay / optional daily pay accessSchedule includes on-call availability, weekends, and holidays About The Role The Special Response Officer serves as an emergency and fill-in resource for the operations team, covering open posts across multiple client locations on short notice. This is a higher-responsibility role suited to experienced security professionals who are flexible, independent, and comfortable adapting to different environments quickly. Responsibilities Respond to open post notifications and provide coverage at assigned client locationsConduct patrols and complete all standard security officer duties at each siteRespond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergenciesEnsure patrol vehicles are inspected, clean, and properly fueled each shiftMaintain communication with supervisors and follow site-specific post ordersComplete accurate incident reports and daily documentation Requirements Must be at least 25 years of age (required for vehicle insurance eligibility)Minimum of 2 years of security industry experienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredValid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving recordActive Illinois PERC Card and 20-Hour Certificate (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)Must pass a background investigation and drug screeningReliable transportation and working cell phone required Benefits Full-time guaranteed hoursWeekly pay / optional daily pay401(k) retirement plan with 5% company matchMedical insurance and benefitsPaid training and uniformsPaid Time Off and employee recognition programsCareer advancement opportunities Walk-in interviews are held every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 4731 W.
