Special Projects Specialist

About the Role

The Agile Content Creation Engagement Team (ACCET) Special Projects Specialist will help with the execution of contests, community/station events, and special projects such as community awareness, disaster relief, and other duties as assigned. This role ensures events, contests, or special projects align with ACCET brand and community guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute special projects, including community awareness, disaster relief, and contests.
• Calendarize events, contests, or special projects.
• Assist with the creation of promotional content, sponsored content, promotional news/social copy, press releases, and on-site elements.
• Coordinate emcee schedules and organize on-site activities.
• Order branded items and local ACCET station/Sinclair properties branded marketing materials (SWAG).
• Meet with community partners and stations to review events.
• Develop plans to execute events and initiatives in the region.
• Collaborate on internal and external communications (e.g., press releases, sales sizzle reels, employee communication).
• Work with legal to develop rules for local station and Sinclair contest promotions.
• Enter project requests into Adobe Workfront for community events, promos, PSAs, and contests.
• Provide elements for content creation.
• Assist in planning and standardizing high school sports production in the region, including:
  • Scheduling pre-taped segments.
  • Coordinating with schools leading up to games.
  • Scheduling client interviews.
  • Ordering trophies and plaques.
  • Creating weekly run-downs/scripts.
  • Being on-site for game day production.

Requirements

• Event and project coordination experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage timelines, logistics, and multiple deadlines.
• Experience with community-partner and stakeholder communication.
• Cross-collaboration experience with sales, marketing, social, news, and production teams.
• Creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro required; After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus).
