About the role

To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of educational programs in both general and special education settings.
• Support the licensed teacher in providing a quality educational environment for students.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the successful implementation of educational plans.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

• Completion of a postsecondary course of study in a field related to education or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively with children and adults.
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
