Special Procedures Technologist PRN

About the Role
Performs technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology. Regulates Angiographic equipment, develops and organizes films, and operates equipment safely while maintaining A.L.A.R.A. standards. Establishes professional relationships with staff and supports the main Radiology Department as needed. Position requires call.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
- Operate and regulate Angiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Develop and organize radiographic films.
- Maintain A.L.A.R.A. (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety standards.
- Support the main Radiology Department during high workload periods.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, departments, and medical staff.
Requirements
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R).
- Associate Degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification; instructor status must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- 1 - 3 years of experience preferred.
