About the Role

The Cardiovascular Special Procedure Technologist performs advanced diagnostic and invasive procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role demands a strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, sterile technique, and advanced imaging technologies to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatments for patients with heart-related conditions. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular procedures.
  • Apply knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and sterile technique.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies for accurate diagnoses and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completion of required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience.
  • State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
  • Certification/Registration: ARRT (R) or RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of advanced protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
