About the role
We are seeking a Special Procedures Nurse to join an Oncology Rapid Assessment Clinic at an academic medical center. This onsite role involves providing high-risk nursing care under physician supervision, including sedation, intravenous infusions, and complex procedures.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care
- Accurately document assessments
- Maintain equipment
- Ensure safety
- Assume Charge Nurse duties as needed
- Assist in patient transfers
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Evaluate and treat patient conditions, including pain and anxiety
- Support critically ill patients during procedures
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Skills
- 3+ years of chemotherapy experience
- ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification
Schedule
Part-time (0.6 FTE) position; night shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotations.
