What You'll Need
- Basic law enforcement training
- Required General law enforcement certification per North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards or ability to transfer certification from another jurisdiction.
- Appropriately and effectively intervenes when unruly, abusive, combative, threatening, or armed persons are encountered.
- Aprehend and arrest individuals for criminal activity.
- Complete investigations of any criminal activity occurring within assigned jurisdiction, make arrests, and process criminal defendants as per NC criminal proceedings.
- Respond to routine and emergency calls for assistance. Complete uniform incident reports and other assigned documentation.
- Communicate in a calm, factual, objective, and courteous manner with all persons with whom communication or collaboration are necessary.
- Coincides and communicates with community police agencies as appropriate.
- Provide armed response to any imminent situation that threatens the life or safety of anyone on Atrium Health property.
- Aid teammates with and serve as subject matter expert in criminal process.
- Prepare criminal cases for court proceedings, attend court, and testify in criminal proceedings.
- Compensation Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training
- Premium pay such as shift, on call, and more based on a teammate's job
