About the Role

The Special Operations Clinical Psychologist will provide technical expertise, guidance, and direct clinical service to special operations forces (SOF). This position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10K to qualified candidates, relocation assistance, and a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and initiate resiliency programs for preventing and treating behavioral health issues to support service member readiness and resiliency.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations using information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources.
  • Practice within state licensing board guidelines, APA Ethical Principles, and MTF privileges.
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the DSM-5, provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups, assist medical and surgical patients, and support patient rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Secret or Top Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
  • Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship/residency in psychology.
  • Minimum of two years of peer-reviewable clinical practice in a mental health setting.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice psychology in any U.S. State, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Ability to obtain practice privileges from the servicing military medical treatment facility.

Qualifications

  • Compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Regular and acceptable attendance.
  • Completion of all required training.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in a government setting such as DoD or VA MTF.
