Job Summary

BAYADA Habilitation is seeking a Habilitation Technician to serve as a Companion/Buddy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role offers flexible scheduling, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.

This position provides support to individuals with disabilities in their daily lives, fostering independence and personal growth. The role requires a passion for working with people with disabilities and a commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Build long-lasting relationships with clients in a one-on-one setting
• Spend time on clients' favorite hobbies and activities
• Support clients in developing their independence and achieving their goals
• Ensure client safety and well-being in the home and community
• Be attentive to meet the individual's needs with dignity and respect

Requirements

• No prior experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Patience, empathy, and dedication

• Passion for providing opportunities to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
