Special Missions Software Engineer
About the role
Booz Allen is seeking a Special Missions Software Engineer to join our team. You will design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications using Agile methods. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing complete end-to-end solutions that modernize client systems, ensuring solutions consider the broader ecosystem and future functionality, and deepening your cross-functional skill set in areas like cloud engineering, data science, and data engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications using Agile methods
- Write source code for new applications or generate and enhance code samples for existing applications
- Collaborate with SOF or IC customers to solve problems in a cross-functional environment
- Deploy internationally for up to 90 days
- Travel up to 25% of the time
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods
- 5+ years of experience with software development using programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks such as JavaScript, Python, or Scala
- Experience working with SOF or IC customers to solve problems in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or 7+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
Skills
- Experience with Palantir Foundry
- ML, AI, or Solution Architecture Certification

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
