About the role

Special Loans Administrator I (Payoff/Paydown Team) HELOC. Full time; Non-Exempt; 37.5 hours/week; Overtime as required. Location: Lake Zurich, IL, US. Department: Special Loans, Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. Dovenmuehle is the leading mortgage subservicing firm in the United States with several hundred financial institution clients nationwide. Handle all aspects of various loans to ensure they are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with government and investor guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely input and processing of various loans or loan products which may include ARM’s, tailored home loans, daily simple interest, interest only, adjustable rate to fix rate conversions, assumptions, modifications, reverse mortgages, timely payment rewards, balloon reset mortgages, partial releases, subordinations, ELOC’s, construction, buy-downs, HUD, and trust transfers.
• Responsible for reviewing and preparing documentation.
• Perform reviews of loan documents and disclosures needed to evaluate borrower requests.
• Direct Proxy emails and incoming mail to the appropriate party.
• Verify and QC of tasks and processing performed by colleagues.
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly internal reports as required.
• Promptly and professionally correspond with homeowners, clients, and outside vendors via email, fax, JIRA Ticket and phone.
• Maintain and increase knowledge, as applicable, of current practices, procedures, and policies.
• Help maintain proper accounting of GL accounts.
• Participate in department audit program.
• Maintain performance standards.
• Review and respond to emails received in processing email proxies as assigned.
• Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
• Always present a positive and professional demeanor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Correspond with all parties regarding required documents and timeframes, including outside vendors for credit, disclosures, titles, appraisals, etc.
• Obtain and analyze security instruments, trust agreements, liens, financials, letters of administration, and other legal documentation verifying borrower qualifications.
• Review and reference servicing, regulatory and compliance guidelines as needed to determine appropriate actions to process borrower requests.
• Monitor and apply Suspense funds.
• Reconciliation of funds
• Correspond with investor/client to determine new payment factors.
• Coordinate material with investor/client to obtain approval for conversions, transfers, and modifications.
• Input and verify changes to the MSP system for various products.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working for either a Financial Institution, Bank or Mortgage company is a plus.
• Customer service experience, a plus.
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, able to interact in a positive and professional manner at all times with all levels of both internal and external audiences.
• High math aptitude.
• Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess high reading comprehension.
• Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail oriented.

Qualifications

• Some college experience is preferred.
• Mortgage originating or servicing experience is highly desired but not required.
