About the role

The incumbent will perform at a full journeyman level of this series in conducting administrative investigations; responsible for all facets of investigative work, including planning, performing, completing and reporting the results of the investigation; provide technical assistance, guidance and training to others; cooperate with and secure the assistance of federal, state and/or local law enforcement; testify at the State Personnel Board hearings; provide statewide ethics and investigation training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct administrative investigations under the supervision of a Supervising Special Investigator I.
  • Perform all facets of investigative work, including planning, performing, completing and reporting the results of the investigation.
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance and training to others.
  • Cooperate with and secure the assistance of federal, state and/or local law enforcement.
  • Testify at the State Personnel Board hearings.
  • Provide statewide ethics and investigation training.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service or the private sector, which included experience in conducting administrative investigations.
  • Experience providing technical assistance, guidance and training to others.
  • Experience cooperating with and securing the assistance of federal, state and/or local law enforcement.
  • Experience testifying at the State Personnel Board hearings.
  • Experience providing statewide ethics and investigation training.

Pay

$66,336.00 – $108,444.00 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
