Special Forces Candidate
About the role
As a Special Forces Candidate, you’ll be training to become a Green Beret, one of the most highly skilled Soldiers in the world. To join the Army elite, you must complete extensive mental and physical training. There are four entry-level Special Forces Military Occupational Specialties, and your specialty will be decided based on your background, aptitude, and the needs of the Army.
At a glance: Enlisted Soldier, Officer, Active Duty, Army Reserve, Army National Guard.
More to consider: 18X offers a path to citizenship for Lawful Permanent Residents, who can begin training immediately. Citizenship is a requirement for passing a secret security clearance, but you can apply for expedited naturalization and candidacy for the Special Forces if you’ve had a valid Green Card (officially known as an I-551 Permanent Resident Card) for at least six months. Work with a recruiter to get started.
