Responsibilities
- Precisely answer any questions customers may have in a courteous manner.
- Provide quality customer service, collect payments for parking services, and manage traffic flow through the gate.
- Arrive at work on time and in a neat and clean uniform.
- Offer directions and provide information about various locations in the city.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
- Report any accidents, violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility or Senior Manager.
- Inform Facility or Senior Manager about debris, water, oil spills, etc.
- Learn and remember each Special Event location and its requirements.
- Count “bank” money at the beginning of the shift to verify the starting total.
- Collect cash and/or coupons and ensure the security of cash.
- Make change and issue receipts or tickets for each transaction.
- Verify shift transactions against money on hand and complete the cashier shift report.
Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Availability to work special shift requirements, which may vary depending on a location's hiring needs.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
- Stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment.
- Sit and climb or balance occasionally.
- Lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Work outside in varying weather conditions (cold, rainy, snowy, harsh, hot, and humid).
