About the role
Load and unload product to and from customers. Complete necessary paperwork for recording of inbound and outbound locations. Warehouse products received in from conveyor or truck.
Work Devices: Clamp truck, forklift, scrubbers, clipboard, necessary paperwork, RF units and printers.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner.
- Actively engaged, involved, and participate in safety meetings and safety tours.
- Ensure production and distribution of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Unload, warehouse, and properly document inbound shipments.
- Load and properly document outbound shipments.
- Store finished goods in designated storage areas as properly documented.
- Pick and properly document all staged loads.
- Consolidate product in warehouse to ensure proper room in warehouse.
- Help in reconciling inventory problems.
- Notify Supervisor of any damaged inbound shipments or any damaged outbound shipments.
- Check all areas of forklift described on truck check sheets and report problems to supervisor and/or group leader.
- Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT); Operate clamp truck; Operate man lift to heights of 30 feet.
- Operate RF units.
- Fill propane tanks.
- Wrap units and change stretch wrap rolls; Proficiently use automatic wrappers.
- Once qualified, instruct and train others.
- Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Fulfill overtime requirements necessary to ensure production and distribution requirements are met.
- Perform duties of a Warehouse Person (Looper).
- Assist in other areas or perform other duties, as assigned.
Safe Quality Food Responsibilities
- Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
- Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
- Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
- Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
Pay
Starting at $22.13, progressing to $22.74 at 6 months. $1.15/hour shift differential for night shift. $1,500 retention bonus for new hires and qualifying rehires.
