Special Education Tutor (Grades 1-5, Reading & Math)

Contract (1099) position providing individualized instruction to students in grades 1-5 who require reading, math, or executive-function intervention and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, evidence-based instruction to students diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, ASD, or executive dysfunction
• Use TPAPT assessment tools to identify each student’s specific areas of need
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans that address students’ unique challenges
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate progress and support strategies
• Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or Speech-Language Pathology
• Certification as a Reading Specialist, Math Specialist, or SPED Teacher
• Experience working with neurodivergent learning populations
• Strong understanding of intervention strategies and evidence-based practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build rapport and encourage students
• Availability for flexible hours, including after-school and weekend sessions
