About the role

The anticipated vacancy is for the academic school year 2026-2027. Education Jumoke Academy seeks motivated and innovative Special Education (SPED) certified teachers committed to excellence for every child.

Responsibilities

• Driving for results
• Using data to drive and inform instruction
• Inspiring, engaging, and empowering students and families
• Establishing and maintaining a culture of high expectations
• Building effective relationships with students, families and peers
• Ensuring fidelity to curriculum, instructional excellence and best-practices in assessment

Qualifications

• Certification/License: Appropriate CT State Certification
• Education: An accredited Bachelor's or Masters Degree
• Experience: At least three years of teaching experience at the intermediate elementary and middle school level

Benefits

Terms of employment and work schedule:

• Ten month work year
• Standard teacher work schedule, including attendance at professional development, open houses, parent conferences and staff meetings as needed

Pay

Compensation is contingent on relevant experience, degree and certification. Full-time position that comes with benefits.
