Special Education Teacher - Transition House

About the Role

Cheyenne Mountain District 12 is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Transition Program serving students ages 18-21. Special Education teachers address current student needs at specific schools. If student needs change, the teacher may be required to relocate to another school within the district at any time during the school year.

Responsibilities

• Address current student needs in the Transition Program (ages 18-21).
• Adapt to potential relocation within the district based on demonstrated student needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g., B.A., A.B., B.S.).
• Meets subject, grade level, and/or content area qualifications consistent with Colorado Department of Education and Cheyenne Mountain District 12 requirements.
• Must possess or be eligible for a Special Education Generalist License (5-21) or Endorsement.
• Criminal background check required for hire.

Pay

Salary range: $52,300 - $78,918 based on the Licensed Salary Schedule, commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

• Full-time position (1.0 FTE).
• 182 workdays per year.
