Responsibilities

  • Advocate for and champion diverse learners, ensuring their growth and preparing them for post-secondary success
  • Accommodate and modify curriculum to meet student needs and support access to the general education curriculum for students in co-taught settings
  • Create, accommodate, and modify curriculum to align to IEP goals
  • Provide instruction that is culturally responsive and culturally sustaining
  • Use data to refine lessons and inform instructional practices
  • Develop IEP goals and objectives that address students’ needs and progress monitor progress
  • Design, implement, and support behavior management plans
  • Execute Noble’s Community Pact with fidelity in order to create a positive, structured learning environment where students are safe and supported and empowered to grow academically

Requirements

  • An unwavering belief that all students can succeed in high school, college, and lead exemplary lives
  • A proven track record of results in previous roles
  • A self-awareness, a regular practice of reflection, and a desire to continuously improve
  • A proven commitment to serving students of color and contributing to anti-racism in practice and disposition

Qualifications

  • An Illinois Teaching License (PEL or ELS) with Learning Behavior Specialist I endorsement (LBSI) or an out-of-state equivalent of a Special Education teaching license
  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Compensations range is $60,000-$81,000.
