Responsibilities

• Instruct groups of students in assigned areas.
• Provide for a classroom and/or lab environment in which learning is an ongoing and positive experience.
• Maintain an individualized approach to each child's education.
• Develop educational goals and objectives which reflect accurately and realistically the learning style and needs of each child assigned to a class.
• Implement prescribed curriculum.
• Maintain a professional level of knowledge and skill with regard to subject matter, teaching methods and the physical, emotional and educational needs of children assigned.
• Serve as a positive role model for all students in terms of manner, appearance, attitude and knowledge.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field, and a valid teaching license. Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred, but not required. A strong commitment to providing inclusive and supportive environments for all students is essential.
