About the role
Provides in-class or pull-out services to students with identified needs in all building locations.
Responsibilities
- Supports students with special education needs in various classroom settings.
- Collaborates with other educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assesses student progress and adjusts instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintains accurate records and reports on student performance and progress.
Requirements
- Holds or is able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement for special education.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
- Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning and student assessment.
