About the role
This position is available for a Special Education Teacher - Moderate/Severe Disabilities starting in the 2026-2027 school year at Leuzinger High School.
Responsibilities
- Teach students with moderate/severe disabilities according to curriculum standards.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with other special education teachers and related service providers.
- Assist in the development and implementation of co-teaching assignments.
Requirements
- Valid California Education Specialist Teaching Credential - Moderate/Severe Disabilities.
- English Learner Authorization.
Qualifications
- May consider intern eligible applicants with an attached letter from their program.
- May consider PIP/STSP eligible applicants with attached official transcripts showing eligibility.
- If not currently credential holders, CBEST test results or equivalent documentation may be uploaded in lieu of credentials.
Skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of special education methodologies and resources.
