Special Education Teacher - Long Term Substitute

Salary Range/Hourly Rate: Per Educators Agreement

Start/End Dates: approximately November 1, 2026 - February 26, 2026

Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Monday through Friday (Student day 7:30 am - 2:15 pm)

About the role

Performs professional work providing a broad range of teaching and direct instructional services or specific learning programs. Assists students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student's ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Building Principal. Continuous oversight is exercised over Paraeducators - Special Services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction and support to elementary special education students
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Oversee and guide Paraeducators - Special Services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in teaching or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• MN Teaching License in the area of Special Education or related services
• DCD or ASD Licensure preferred
• Experience working with elementary special education students desired
