Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher for a school in Milford, Connecticut. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), utilizing effective teaching strategies tailored to each child's unique learning style, and fostering a nurturing classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement IEPs for studentsProvide specialized instruction in foundational skills to students with varying abilitiesConduct ongoing assessments to evaluate student progressCollaborate with general education teachers and support staff to enhance the learning experienceCommunicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for support Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferredMust have a CT special educator's license No prior experience requiredStrong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practicesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to create a positive and inclusive learning environmentCommitment to the growth and success of all students Benefits 1099 contract position Full-time $70-80 per hour
