SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Mechanicsburg Area School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher in our Multiple Disabilities Support (MDS) classroom at our Senior High School effective for the start of the 2026/2027 school year.

About the role

• Teach students with multiple disabilities in a supportive environment
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, administrators, and support staff

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification
• Criminal History Record Clearance form
• FBI Clearance form
• Child Abuse History Clearance form
• Act 168 forms(s)
• I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form

Qualifications

• Strong background in special education
• Experience working with students with multiple disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
