Special Education Teacher for Summer School in RI

About the role

EDU-AIDs is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join their team in Portsmouth, RI for Summer school. Positions are available for PreK-kindergarten.

Responsibilities

- Play a key role in creating a structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students. - Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support students' academic, social, and emotional needs.

Requirements

- Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching as a Special Education Teacher. - A valid state Special Education Teaching License. - Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills. - A deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field. - Valid state Special Education Teaching License. - Experience working with diverse student populations.

Skills

- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners. - Proficiency in using assistive technology and accommodations. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
