The position is a regular teaching contract in Elementary Special Education.
About the role
This position will be placed, by student need, in a CCS Elementary building.
Responsibilities
- Teach students with special educational needs in an elementary setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with other special education staff and general education teachers.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other special education related meetings.
Requirements
- IDOE license with either Rules 2002 or REPA Mild Interventions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Knowledge of IDEA and other relevant special education laws.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
