Special Education Teacher - Elementary - 26/27 SY

Position Details
Full-Time, 35 hours per week, 9-month contract starting August 17, 2026. Grade level: Elementary. Classroom setting: Push-In/Push-Out Support. Behavior support level: Low. Medical support level: Level 1. IEP platform: IEP Online.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet student needs
- Monitor student progress and analyze performance data
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success planning
Requirements
- Active Maryland Special Education Teaching License (no provisional or conditional licenses accepted)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement
- Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
