Position Details

Full-Time, 35 hours per week, 9-month contract starting August 17, 2026. Grade level: Elementary. Classroom setting: Push-In/Push-Out Support. Behavior support level: Low. Medical support level: Level 1. IEP platform: IEP Online.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet student needs
  • Monitor student progress and analyze performance data
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success planning

Requirements

  • Active Maryland Special Education Teaching License (no provisional or conditional licenses accepted)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Special Education Teacher
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement
  • Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
